Below are short bios of our doctors. We titled this page Meet Our Doctors, and we mean it. By all means, read the bios, but we invite you to actually come to visit us at our office, meet our doctors and staff, and become a part of the Cottonwood Dental family! We’d love to meet you!
Dr. David Willardson
Dr. David Willardson is a cosmetic dentist at Cottonwood Dental in Wichita, Kansas. He grew up in Sandy, Utah. He attended Brigham Young University for one year, then served an LDS mission in the Houston, Texas area for two years. He finished his undergraduate education at BYU and went to dental school at Roseman University.
Dr. Willardson is a member of the American Dental Association. He loves getting people out of pain and hearing how their smiles have changed their lives!
Dr. Willardson and his amazing wife have two beautiful children. He loves spending time on the lake with his family. They ski, wakeboard and surf!
Dr. Matthew Shaff
Dr. Matthew Shaff is a general dentist at Cottonwood Dental in Wichita, Kansas. He grew up in Cedar Vale, Kansas and graduated college at Brigham Young University in Idaho majoring in Exercise Physiology. Dr. Shaff then attended UNLV School of Dental Medicine in Las Vegas, Nevada. He wanted to become a dentist to help others get out of pain and gain a smile they can show off and be proud of!
Dr. Shaff and his wife met while working summer jobs in Alaska and are expecting their first child in July 2023! He enjoys woodworking, gardening, hiking and traveling. A fun fact about Dr. Shaff is there were only 8 students in his high school graduating class and he is a surprisingly good henna artist!
Dr. Brian Schofield
Dr. Brian Schofield is a Cosmetic Dentist at Cottonwood Dental on Maize Road in Wichita,
Kansas. He grew up in the small farm town of Buhl, Idaho and attended Brigham Young University-Idaho for his undergraduate education, majoring in exercise physiology. He then attended Roseman University of Health Sciences where he earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
Dr. Schofield has wanted to be a dentist ever since he was a child! At a young age, his family Dentist made a huge impact on his life by helping to correct his smile. He’s passionate about helping patients achieve quick pain relief and improve confidence through their smiles!
When Dr. Schofield isn’t in the office, you can find him woodworking or in the great outdoors. He enjoys waterfowl hunting, hiking, camping, and spending time at the lake with his family! He has been married for eight years to his beautiful wife and they have three amazing daughters. A fun fact about Dr. Schofield is that he used to own a woodworking business and he knows how to build farmhouse furniture!
Dr. Kole Lopez
Dr. Kole Lopez is a Cosmetic Dentist at Cottonwood Dental in Pratt, Kansas. He grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and attended Wichita State University for his undergraduate education. During his time there, he majored in Biological Sciences and minored in Chemistry and Sociology. He then attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Lopez is passionate about helping change the public view of dentistry. He strives to provide pain-free care while forming relationships with his patients and community. Dr. Lopez is a member of the American Dental Association and the Kansas Dental Association.
When Dr. Lopez isn’t in the office, you can find him traveling with his family or hanging out with his two-year-old bernedoodle, Murphy! A fun fact about Dr. Lopez is that he can quote almost any movie verbatim if he’s seen it more than once!
Dr. Michelle Booth
Dr. Michelle Booth is a cosmetic dentist at Cottonwood Dental in Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Booth completed one year of architecture school in Liverpool, England and then obtained her Bachelors in Chemistry at Utah State University. She then attended dental school at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. Dr. Booth is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists. Her favorite part about being a dentist is the artistic side of dentistry as well as the interpersonal relationships.
Dr. Booth comes from a family of 7 children! She has 3 brothers and 3 sisters who all live in Idaho. Dr. Booth and her boyfriend have two beautiful fur babies, a cat named Dutch and a miniature poodle named Delta. In her free time, she loves to workout and travel. If she could visit a different country every week, she would love to do that. A fun fact about Dr. Booth is that she has traveled to 15 different countries!
